Isn’t it bugging to hear some uncle discuss his business over the phone while you are trying hard to listen to your sweetheart’s sweet nothings? You wished someone taught him some phone etiquettes. Here are some mobile etiquettes, circulated by Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications & IT, Government of India, for you to know and share with others.
- Follow the rules
Stick to the rules and regulations for mobile usage issued by the government and authorities in school, college, office etc. Show the others that following the rules can be cool.
- Skip the embarrassment
Getting shhhhhed… in a hospital, airline, public transport, place of worship, cremation/burial ground, auditorium or cinema hall can be highly embarrassing! Keep it safe, turn on the silent/vibrating mode of your phone or just switch your phone off while you are at these places.
- Stay safe
Driving back home and your phone starts ringing? Don’t make it the last call of your life. Park your car to the side and attend the call. Drive safe!
- Move away
We bet you don’t want anyone to know where you planning to go with your love for a date. So, whenever you gotta answer a call in a public place, move away.
- Respect privacy
Imagine someone took a photograph of you sleeping with your mouth wide open. Can be very embarrassing no? Respect people’s privacy. Don’t take pictures of people without their permission. You never know how Karma will play its game on you.
- Keep it low
Wooh, so you got a crazy new ringtone, great! But make sure you keep the volume in-check, a loud ringtone can be really annoying to the ears buddy!
- No flashing
You wouldn’t want the entire world to see your sweetheart’s mushy messages on national TV. Thus, make sure you don’t screen your private text messages on TV or read them loud on the radio.
